For men who have experienced sexual abuse or assault
Here at Living Well we run our sexual abuse support groups for men throughout the year, and we are now calling for expressions of interest from men. This group will run for eight Wednesday evenings at Living Well, Buranda. There are currently spaces in this group. We invite you to give us a call on (07) 3028 4648 to add your name to the list.
Generally, we run the Living Well sexual abuse support group three to four times per year. Each group can be rather different to the next, but it always seems to be of enormous benefit to the men (of all ages) who attend.
Two of the Living Well counselling team facilitate the group. In addition, we then also run a monthly “drop-in” group, for men who have participated in previous groups. The drop-in group is a more casual catch up and support group.
While we know that joining a group can feel more than a little daunting, the feedback we have received from those men who have participated is that it has been very helpful and they would highly recommend it.
