Online counselling menu
Living Well offers free, confidential online counselling to men, partners, family members and supporters. If you or someone you support has experienced sexual abuse or assault, you can now talk to a professional Living Well specialist counsellor, securely and confidentially, online. You can choose between text-based live chat counselling or email counselling.
We understand that the decision as to whether or not to engage in any kind of counselling can be a difficult one to make, and online counselling has its own factors to consider as well. If you’re unsure, you can read some more information to help you determine whether online counselling is right for you.
Living Well offers two ways to talk to a counsellor online, each with their own benefits and limitations. Please read the relevant information for each service type and choose the one you think will work best for you.
- Text based chat via your web browser.
Note: Due to counsellor availability Living Well is unable to offer live chat counselling for part of 2018. Please check back in November 2018. Until then, we are still offering email, phone and face to face counselling options. Thanks very much for your understanding.
- Responding to your counsellor via emails.
If your counsellor thinks an alternative service type may be more effective for you, he or she will suggest this in session, however ultimately the decision is up to you.
Please note that Living Well is an Australian service. If you are seeking support from somewhere else in the world, please have a look at our page Worldwide Online Services.
